Centennial Quilt Roosts at Linthicum Library in February

The Linthicum Centennial Quilt will be on display during February at the Linthicum Public Library, Hammonds Ferry and Shipley Roads as part of the library's 50th anniversary celebration.  The quilt is the historic prize for the Linthicum community, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2008.  A raffle for the quilt is underway -- tickets will be sold throughout the Centennial year. The drawing for the winner will be at the Centennial Gala in November.

 

Sock Hop Gets Centennial Off with a Bang

More than 150 people filed into the Lindale Middle School cafeteria Jan. 12 for the inaugural event of the Linthicum Centennial year.  The crowd showed up dressed in 1950s-era garb, including greaser jackets, bobby socks and letterman sweaters.  It was the first in what will be more than a dozen events to celebrate Linthicum's 100th year as a community.  To view all the photos from the event, click here.
